The bookstore
We aim to please people who really, really like books. Not just the reading of books, but the physical book as well.
Our hope is to surprise you.
The books are carefully selected and feature unusual examples of titles you either already love or someday might. We carry reading copies as well as fine illustrated or first editions.
Categories include fiction, photography, science fiction and fantasy, art, children’s, and scholarly books.

The bookstore supports a gallery for exhibiting artists from around the world—mostly photographers—who we believe deserve to be seen in Portland.
The art work will be for sale, each exhibition will have an opening reception, and whenever possible we will host an artist’s talk.

We intentionally chose to be a brick-and-mortar store where your actual hands can hold actual books. Come by in February 2026 and find something you had no idea you wanted.
